As per all RFC members, he transferred into the RAF on the 1st of April 1918.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePrior to the war he was a Cobbler and was married to Ethel Rowntree\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe died of pneumonia 2 weeks after the end of the war on 25th November 1918, probably as part of the ‘Spanish Flu’ pandemic of 1918-19.
