An unusual WW2 British Home Front Medical Services MK2 ‘Brodie’ helmet.
Featuring an unusual decal, a white cross in a red disk, whilst its u clear which specific medical service this represents it is almost certainly a home front example, due to its black paint. It most likely belonged to a member of the EMS, BFA, NHSR, Red Cross or Ambulance Service.
No dates are visible on either the helmet or the liner, but the chinstrap is wartime and the liner is first pattern, indicating it is an early war example, most likely 1939-1940.
The helmet has does feature some rusting and corrosion but the liner is in still soft and in relatively good condition
