An early WW1 Imperial German Baden Infantry NCO’s visor cap
With original State and Baden cockades.
Visor appears to have been strengthened/repaired at some point - likely a very old field repair and the sweatband appears to have been replaced with a more heavy duty material at the same time.
Cornflower blue wool with crimson piping and crimson band. Blue wool is quite browned particularly on top.
Size is quite small eg approx 52-53
silk lining inside
Overall structural condition is good but decent sized moth holes/ damage on the left side and at the back of the top, together with many moth trails.
