A WW2 Italian Captain’s visor cap for the 9th Guardia alla Frontiera Artillery Regiment (Border Guard).
The 9th GAF Artillery Regiment took part in the invasion of Yugoslavia in 1941, before being assigned to the Italian Army in Russia on the Eastern Front. The regiment was all but destroyed during the winter of 1932-43 and was then disbanded by the Germans following the Armistice in 1943.
