Original WW2 British Army Dispatch Rider full Uniform Webbing Equipment Helmet Set

The set consists of :

- WW2 Dispatch Riders  Helmet, size 6 & 1/2,  stamped BMB 1944 on the liner.

- WW2 Battledress Blouse with Lance Corporal rank stripes, named to Cpl Jones. The tunic is in very good condition just with a missing and loose neck fastening. All buttons present.

Label for maker W A Phelps, dated November 1943.

Size marked as 12, chest 40-41 inches.

Also with WD stamp with code letter M for 1944.

- WW2 green woollen riding breeches with button up ankles - all buttons present.

In excellent and lightly worn condition with just some service wear to the chamois inner leg patches.

With WD stamp with code letter N for 1943.

Measuring 15.5 inches across when laid flat - approx 30 inch waist. Inside leg measures 26 inches

- matched pair of WW2 tall black leather Dispatch Riders Boots with laces to the bottom part and 3 straps to the top - all functioning.

Dated 1945 (on the inner sole), broad arrow marked UK size 7 L (ie 7 wide).  Each boot also has a WD inspection stamp on the side

- WW2 brown leather riders Jerkin with brown wool lining.

With label for JAS S Whitley Ltd and dated 1945.

To fit well over the Battledress up to 41 inch chest

- pair of WW2 brown leather motorcycle gauntlet gloves - not marked or dated.

- Heavy canvas Haversack / bread bag stamped M.E.C. 1943 and broad arrow marked.

- WW2 Map Case stamped Bagoram Ltd 1944. Containing a 1941 map of East Yorkshire and with original period pack of staples and 3 pencils.

- 1937 pattern webbing belt stamped to Q & M Ltd.

- Canvas pistol holster on the belt, broad arrow marked and dated 1943

- small hanging pouch on the belt stamped 1943

- motorcyclist goggles

The grouping is not to one soldier and was likely assembled as a display piece. However, this is a rare chance to obtain a near complete all original WW2 British Army Dispatch Rider's uniform group.
