Original Edwardian British Army Royal Welch Fusiliers Scarlet Tunic Lt Colonel
Made from a thick heavy cotton fabric and with a thick cream padded liner.
On the shoulders the jacket has gilt rope shoulder boards with bullion wire rank crown/pips for a Lieutenant Colonel.
Black facings to the collar and cuffs edged in gold lace and ornate cuffs.
The Jacket has brass RWF buttons throughout - one of the shoulder board buttons is missing and so is the flat under belt button at the bottom.
Jacket condition is generally good but there are some moth trails and small holes as pictured. The lining of the neck is unstitched / damaged and there are signs of repair / alteration around the neck, eg the black tails.
Chest Size is approx 35-36 inches. Armpit to armpit measurement is 18.5 inches. Armpit to cuff is 19 inches.
