A WW2 German Army Badged M35 Italian pith helmet (composite). With original leather chinstrap
The German army is known to have used Italian made Pith helmets in the early part of the North Africa campaign
Supplied with 2 badges, both deemed original.
Whether these badges were on the helmet or whether they were added later is unknown - helmet is priced assuming later, given the pith is an M35, it is unlikely it was used in North Africa as these were mostly used in Sicily/Mediterranean. It is likely a composite using original parts.
Size 56 stamped inside but feels a size bigger.
Condition is very good - one vent missing. Top vent has lost some of its covering.
