A very rare Victorian grey wool tunic for the 13th Middlesex Queen's Westminster Rifle Volunteers (known as the "Grey Brigade").
With fabric medal bar for Volunteer Officers' Decoration awarded from 1892 onwards for 20 years service, so the jacket itself is likely 1880s. The 13th Middlesex were established in 1880.
With Victorian crown buttons - all present except one on one of the breast pockets. With makers label for Samuel Brothers ltd
Condition is good for its age - some small moth holes / tears, mainly on one of the breast pockets. Some slight browning discoloration. Nicely lined inside
Chest approx 41 inches - armpit to armpit measurement is 20.5 inches.
