A pre WW1 Imperial German M1897 Red Cross Pattern visor cap, with Army cockades from the late 1890s onwards

Black wool with crimson piping and black band. No red piping at the top

Very small visor / brim typical of the early models.

With original State and Prussian Cockade (now oranged)

Size approx 56

Overall structural condition and shape is very good.

A number of moths holes under the rim  / at the back.  No moth damage at the front or on top. A good number of small brown stain patches on top.
