A WW2 Italian Army Captain’s 2nd Signal Engineers (Genio Telegrafisti) visor cap. In the Italian army the Signal troops were part of the engineer formations.
The 2nd Genio Telegrafisti (radio/signal engineers) were attached to the 2nd ‘Sforzesca’ Infantry Division which participated in the invasion of France and Albania/Greece before being sent to the eastern front in 1942 where it was largely destroyed.
High quality grey-green cap in generally excellent condition with no mothing. Slight ripple to the visor.
