July Monarchy M1837 French National Guard Hunters Shako

An incredibly rare French M1837 (July Monarchy/Louis Phillipe period) National Guard hunters shako. 

Guaranteed all original. This model was replaced just a few years later by the M1845 and the M1848 during the short lived Second Republic. 

Scaled chinstraps with Hunters Regiment motif on the securing roundel.

With gold coloured metal Shako plate of the National Guard of Louis Phillipe.  Double Pom on top

Metal tricolour cockade

Patent leather top and leather visor. Shako body covered in a short haired fur.

Leather liner still present, though a little curled

Makers named stamped into liner.

In generally very good condition - some damage at the back of the top

Size around 54-55
