A 19th century French Army M1873 Medical Commandant's Kepi
With gold coloured Medical officers metal badge and fabric cockade. Hungarian knot on the top in silver/grey thinner thread fabric than used on M1886 or M1910 kepis.
Burgundy velvet band as used on French Medical caps
Thick Leather chinstrap secured with medical buttons.
Condition is generally very good, with 1 moth hole on the front and approx 6 moth holes at the back.
