Post War Royal Corps of Transport Colonel's Mess Dress and Waistcoat

A beautiful post war Royal Corps of Transport Colonel's mess jacket and waistcoat. Made by Gieves in 1993. Also with 1966 trousers.

Ornate brocaded shoulder rank pips for a Colonel

Jacket measures approx 38-39 inch chest. Armpit to armpit measures 18.5 inches

Armpit to cuff measures 18 inches.

All buttons present - RCT buttons on the mess jacket shoulder boards and waistcoat.

Trousers made in 1966 with tapered leg and under boot straps and broad red stripe  - waist is approx 28 inches. Inside leg approx 30 inches

Jacket and waistcoat appear to have hardly been worn. Jacket is beautifully lined and padded.

Makers label for Gieves in the Mess jacket and waistcoat. Trousers have makers label for Herbert Chappell Ltd
