Beautiful and rare Durham Light Infantry 1880 Pattern Field Officer's Forage / Drill Cap with leather chinstrap

A fine quality example, the body of dark green cloth with a black lace acorn band to the side.

The embroidered strung DLI bugle horn badge is in gold bullion wire

With a drooping black patent leather peak with gold bullion wire inlay. 

Inside there is a red silk lining with a makers label for F. W. Flight and a red leather sweat band.

Original Chin strap is fully present

Some damage to the leather peak otherwise in excellent condition
