The 42nd were recruited from the Highlands of Scotland and later essentially became the Black Watch through amalgamation with other units.

With broad black silk band of the Victorian period and black tourie on top.

Tails not present.

With original 42nd Foot badge with nice definition and good patina

Condition is generally very good except for the missing tails
