Fantastic and very rare Original WW1 Burberry Officers Private Purchase Trench Coat with button-in Liner & period Balaclava
Ranks pips to the shoulders for a 2nd Lieutenant.
With its original belt that is a little frayed at the front, and with hooks to the rear for hanging field kit from.
Adjustable cuffs.
Lining of the coat is Burberry pattern and the Burberry name can just be made out on the worn label.
Very rare original woollen liner vest which is made to fit the coat and buttons into it - some of the buttons are missing.
Coat condition + has service wear and slight fraying around the collar and bottom hem. One of the front coat buttons is missing. There are some rips to the coat liner
The Balaclava is a WW1 period item and has some small holes in it.
The lot is also supplied with a pair of green knitted gloves and scarf of unknown period.
The mannaquin is NOT included in the lot.
The original WW1 army boots which are just showing in the photos are NOT included in the lot but are for sale so please get in touch if you are interested in them.
Coat measures 24 inches from armpit to armpit - is approx. 44 inch chest. The arms are relatively short at 18 inches from armpit to cuff.
Coat length from top of the collar to the hem is 44 inches.
