Very rare Original early WW1 Horizon Blue French Army 9th Infantry Kepi with 2nd Lieutenant Rank Insignia
Made entirely of light blue cotton cloth, including the chin strap, this type of kepi could be worn by almost all ranks from sergeant upwards, but this one has the rank insignia of a 2nd Lieutenant - also with a metal regiment number for the 9th Infantry.
Chinstrap secured with plain brass buttons.
Condition is very good, with no mothing - just some slight discolouration of the cotton fabric
