Fantastic Rare Original WW1 British Royal Naval Air Service RNAS Photo Album - 114 Photos + 1 drawing
All but 6 of the photos are military.
The album starts with a description of a depth charge explosion that the owner of the album witnessed from a naval balloon and resulted in the sinking of a German submarine in August 1917.
The album focuses on Naval balloons so it is presumed that the owner was a Naval balloon operator in the RNAS.
Dates from pre 1918 to when the RNAS merged with the RFC to form the RAF.
The album is used at both ends with a small gap in the middle.
