WW2 or Earlier Italian Corps of Public Security Agents M15 ‘Adrian’ Helmet.

The Corps of Public Security Agents (Corpo degli Agenti di Pubblica Sicurezza), also known more simply as the Italian Royal Police, was created in 1925 as a formal police force, loyal to Fascist party, as opposed to the Caribinieri who were more loyal to the crown. It was a broad spectrum containing many public forces including the PAI (Polizia dell'Africa Italiana). At the end of the 1930s, the Public Secirity Corps was absorbed by the armed forces, becoming highly militarized. During WW2, they fought in Albania and Montenegro, specializing in anti-partisan warfare.

This helmet is an early WW1 example, a French made M15 'Adrian' helmet from before the introduction of the Italian made 'Lippmann' model. It has been reconditioned after 1925 (as many WW1 Italian helmets were) for use by the Corps of Public Security Agents.

Original tan 1920s leather liner and chinstrap, both in unusually good condition but most definitely original.

Size approx  57
