An amazingly rare WW2 domino with hidden compartment, designed by MI9 for use in the SOE (Special Operations Executive) and OSS (Office of Strategic Services). These dominoes were also distributed to allied airman on particularly risky missions, or shipped by MI9 to POW camps to aid escape and evasion.
This domino would have originally have been distributed inside a set of regular dominoes so as to avoid detection. It features a sliding top which conceals a hidden compartment in which a message or a map may have been hidden.
