An unusual Spanish Civil War used Czechoslovakian Vz30 Helmet.
Originally produced for use by Czechoslovakia, these were sent in massive numbers to Spain during the civil war, particularly to the republicans and communists, although they were used by all sides.
This example is fitted with a French M26 ‘Adrian’ liner and chinstrap which is not unusual for the Spanish Civil War as liners from many different types of helmets were often swapped around- Adrian’s were also frequently used. The Adrian liner is somewhat ill fitting as is to be expected.
With the Spanish dark brown/green paint over the original Czech light green
There are also solder marks to the front where a Spanish badge was previously fitted but has been removed.
