Superb and rare Victorian OR's Scarlet Wool Shell Jacket to the Westmorland and Cumberland Hussars dated 1889, with trousers.
With white wool stand up collar and cuffs with silver lace frogging and Austrian knots, fastened by hooks twenty five silver plated half ball buttons flanked by twenty five pairs of half ball buttons
Named by hand to RW Slack inside both sleeves and dated 1889.
White felt facings on the collar and cuffs.
Chest Size approx 39 inches. Armpit to armpit measurement is 20 inches. Armpit to cuff is 20 inches
Jacket Condition is generally very good - with a number of relatively small moth trails and a couple of small holes.
Trousers are a heavy dark blue / black wool with fishtail for braces and bullion wire thread stripes. Button fly. All buttons present.
Trousers also Named to Slack and are in excellent condition.
Waist is approx 35 inches. Inside leg is 33 inches.
