Very rare WW1 French 7th Tirailleur Colonial Mustard Tunic Uniform & Helmet and field gear Set.
Comprises of :
- Colonial mustard wool tunic
- Colonial mustard painted M15 Adrian Helmet
- black leather Sam Browne belt
- tan leather pistol Holster
- tan leather binoculars case
- rare Horizon blue painted M2 gas mask carry tin
- M1892 pattern cotton bread bag
The jacket is marked to the 7th (Algerian) Tiralleur Regiment on the collar and dates from 1915-16.
Jacket is of a heavy thick wool and beautifully lined in cotton.
One button missing on the front but buttons are concealed anyway, so is not noticeable
Jacket Chest is approx x35-36 inches. Armpit to armpit measures 18.5 inches. Armpit to cuff is 19 inches.
Jacket Condition is generally very good - just 2 small moth holes on the back + loose seam under one armpit.
Helmet has original leather chinstrap and liner + with upturned cresent Colonial badge. Size is approx 54-55.
Revolver holster is the simplified 1916 pattern.
Binoculars case is empty, with makers label for Huet & Cie of Paris
M1892 Pattern bread bag is marked F 1643 and with buttons marked Equipements Militaires.
M2 gas mask carry tin is painted a dark horizon blue and with thick string cord carry loop.
