Unusual Original US made Victorian 10th Lanarkshire The Glasgow Highlanders Officers

Scarlet Doublet dated 1881

Scarlet melton cloth with black facings and gold lace edgings.

Lovely white metal 10th Lanarkshire regimental tunic buttons throughout - all 27 are present.

Unmarked silver officers collar badges.

No shoulder boards.

Quilted cloth lining to the interior of the tunic.

Makers stamp inside for Bamfield

Chest Size approx 35 inches. Armpit to armpit measurement is 18 inches. Armpit to cuff is 20 inches

Condition is fair to good with a good number of moth holes and trails, as pictured, particularly on the back.

Despite this it is a very nice, unusual jacket and the buttons and collar badges boost it's value considerably.
