With a medal ribbon bar that contains : - the George Medal - 1939-45 star - Africa Star - WW2 Defence Medal - WW2 War medal with Mentioned in Dispatches clasp - Pre 1962 General Service Medal - RAF Long Service & Good Conduct Medal
There are relatively few RAF George Medal recipients, so is worthy of further research.
Fitted with black Bakerlite buttons, Kings Crown pattern on the pockets
Condition - generally very good with just 2 small moth holes on the back and service wear to the cuffs and inner collar.
With makers label dated 1948 for Compton, Sons & Webb Ltd
With a War Department stamp of A for 1949.
Marked as Size 3 which is for chest of 36-37 inches and waist of 33 inches.
