The badge shows appropriate wear / patina on both fronts and back.

With oilskin liner.

War Dept stamp with Inspection number 135.

With makers stamp for J Compton & Sons Ltd, with 1918 date.

Stamped as size 7 & 1/8, (approx 58cm in modern scale)

With correct slim brown leather chinstrap, secured with General Service buttons.

The wool is in excellent condition - no mothing at all

The Kent Volunteer Force started as a home defence unit but merged into the regular army in 1916.
