A touching WW1 British medal duo to Driver Harry Swash of the Royal Field Artillery, who enlisted at the age of 15, lying about his age.

Driver Harry Swash (2947, 755675)
Born in 1899 in Wawne, Hull, he enlisted in June 1915, claiming to be 19 when he was in fact 15, with service number 2947. He was sent to the 2nd Northumbrian Brigade (Royal Field Artillery) at age 16, with whom he saw service in France in January 1916, however he was returned back to the UK in May 1916 when it was discovered he was underage, joining 884 battery of the 325th Brigade (Royal Field Artillery) on home defence duty. He then transferred to the 65th Divisional Ammunition Column (Royal Field Artillery) in 1917 seeing service in Ireland with service number 755675. He was discharged in 1919.
