An interesting WW1 British Medal Trio issued to Driver Charles Henry Maysey ASC, 53rd Field Ambulance.
Although he was formally in the ASC, he was attached to the 53rd field ambulance column who saw action in Ypres, Somme (including Dellville wood), St Omer, Passchendaele, Cambrai and others.
Includes Charles’s 1914-15 ("Mons") Star, Victory and War Medals all named. Plus his trio medal bar. All With original ribbons.

Driver Charles Henry Maysey (T/38207, T/5153)
Born in 1894 or 98 (both are cited) in Gloucester to William and Caroline Maysey.
Enlisted in 1915 to the Gloucester Regiment with service number 19150 before transferring to the Army service Corps in 1915 with service number T/38207 and later T/5153.
Discharged in 1919 for defective teeth, recommended dental treatment. After the war he married Emily Bousne in 1922 and had 2 children, Charles George Maysey and Denis Maysey.
Upon discharge he entered the RASC Reserve for 16 years and was then discharged from that in 1936.
