Original WW1 British officer's Private Purchase Brown Leather Hobnailed Trench Boots
With brogued pattern to the toe area likely dating to the period just before WW1.
The boots combine a lace-up lower boot with a permanently attached leather field gaiter/legging buckled cuff towards the top of the boot with 3 straps and buckles on each boot.
The lace-up section consists of 12 rows of hooks and eyelets.
The soles are very hobnailed.
Condition is generally very good except for :
- one of the buckle straps has snapped
- a loose seam area on the back of one of the boots
Size is not marked but is approx UK size 6-7 (closer to 7).
