Original WW1 British Army Staff Officer visor cap, Jacket & Sam Browne - jacket named to Military Cross winner Capt W B (William Berry) Robertson and dated February 1917.
Jacket has fabric Military Cross medal ribbon bar, red junior Staff Officer collar Gorgets and Staff Officer buttons throughout - all present.
Wound Stripe on the right arm
Jacket and cap condition is excellent - no moth damage at all
Jacket has a makers label for Pulford & Sons of London and is named to W B Robertson and dated February 1917.
Jacket Chest is 38-40 inches. Measures 19.5 inches armpit to armpit and 18.5 inches from armpit to cuff.
The cap is a very high quality WW1 British Army Staff Officer Service khaki Visor Cap.
With red Staff Officer band and Lion over crown badge.
Cap has a makers label for Walter Barnard & Son, 92 Jermyn St, St. James’s, London
Cap is In excellent condition - no mothing and retains an excellent shape. It has a tan "Russia Roan Leather" sweatband.

Supplied with an original WW1 Sam Browne, which is initialled to a different solder (E.A.C.L.) from the Royal Field Artillery (RFA), but a correct combination with the jacket and cap.
William Berry Robertson served in the 16th Battalion Royal Scots (Lothian) Regiment arriving in France in February 1916.
Before fully moving to a Staff Officer role he is recorded in the 16th Royal Scots War Diary as taking part in the initial assault on the 1st day of the Somme on 1st July 1916. He was wounded on the Somme in mid August with the War Diary for 16th August mentioning that he was hospitalised, for which he earned his wound badge.
He was promoted to temporary Major at the end of 1917.
He is recorded in the Gazette #30450 of 28th December 1917 as being awarded his Military Cross, and announced in the 1918 New Year's Honours List.
The text was "The King has been graciously pleased to approve the award of the Military Cross for distinguished service in the Field".
He retired in 1929 at the rank of Major
