He died on 8thOctober 1916 in the Somme area.

He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial in France.

His pension records show a confusion between Frederick and a Benjamin Charles Corby, and show some corrections

His death plaque has an unfortunate typo in that FREDERICK is spelt as FREDERIGK which must have been upsetting for the family.
