Two layers of original paint are visible, both variations of the famous horizon blue. Original black leather liner is present, as is the chinstrap although this is sadly in 2 pieces and twisted. One side is attached and the other only loosely attaches.
There is also an interestingly shaped dent on the top- could be war damage, maybe even a bayonet strike. But you never know with these helmets, could equally be wear from its over 100 year history.
