Petty Officer William George Nunn (233726)

Born 28th Nov 1888 in North Walsham, Norfolk. He was a farm labourer before enlisting in the Royal Navy in 1906.

His WW1 service included serving on HMS Venus, at HMS Victory and the dreanought class Battleship HMS St Vincent. He was awarded his Long Service Medal in 1924, with it marked to HMS Ganges.

He looks to have re-enlisted in WW2 (1939), serving mainly at shore bases but including HMS Goshawk / Benbow in Trinidad.

He was discharged from the Navy in Jan 1941
