Bullion braided visor and brass Coldstream Guards buttons - no chinstrap.

With makers label for Edward Smith of Cork Street London by appointment to King George VI dating it as pre 1952.

Made from a heavy black wool and with a black wool mohair band. Soft leather headband and velvet strip across the forehead area.

In generally very good condition - 2 small moth trails on the top and some wear to the underside of the visor. Retains a good shape.
