Original WW2 Era British Indian Army 5th Mahratta Light Infantry No.1 Blue Uniform Jacket
Dating as pre-1947 when the unit was disbanded as India became independent - but likely to predate WW2.
Brass 5th Mahratta Light Infantry buttons throughout - all present except one on the lower pocket which has been replaced with a button of the Honourable Artillery Company. A number of the buttons are well polished.
The collar has old holes for collar badges which are no longer present.
There are 3 or 4 small moth holes on the jacket (pictured), otherwise it is in good condition. The top collar / neck clasp is missing.
Jacket size is approx 38 inch chest. Armpit to armpit measures 19 inches. Armpit to cuff is 18.5 inches
