Adam Thomas (Tom) Dugdale DFC (179296)

Tom served in 195 Squadron as a Pilot Officer, flying Lancasters from at least 1944, with service number 179296. He won his DFC with 195 Squadron in 1945, although quite what for I have not been able to find, his recommendation is blank, which is not uncommon for wartime DFC’s. Tom then transferred to 90 Squadron. Post war, he was promoted to Flight Lieutenant in 1948 and then served in the Mau Mau rebellion in Kenya. After Mau Mau, he transferred to 100 Squadron, where he remained for the rest of his service into the 1960s. Tom died at the age of 93 in 2015.

Check out separate lots for Tom’s main set, cap and flight suit. (As much as I would’ve liked to keep the set together, it would have made it prohibitively expensive, if someone would like to buy all four lots to keep it together though I would be willing to give you a good deal on it, as I would like to see it stay together!)
