SOLD! WW2 RCAF Navigator's Summer Tunic, Named With Operations Mission Badge
SOLD! WW2 RCAF Navigator's Summer Tunic, Named With Operations Mission Badge
A pristine condition WW2 Royal Canadian Air Force navigator's Canadian summer tunic, with operations mission Badge. This is a beautiful and rare jacket in fantastic condition. Likely made from a cotton/linen mix.
All patches and badges are present, including the Canada fabric embroidered shoulder titles and embroidered Navigator badge. All RCAF buttons and the belt are also present.
The operations Mission Badge is rare in itself and marked Stephenson, Sterling on the back. You can see in one of the photos the indent left over a long time from the fixing on the back of the Operations mission badge, it seems original to the jacket and has not to our knowledge been simply added on, at least not recently.
The uniform is named to Pilot Officer A M Marshall and dated July 1945. It was tailored by John A McDonald & Son.
The chest size is approx 38 inches.
