The Battledress is of Canadian WW2 pattern but not dated - however there are wartime photos of the owning soldier wearing the battledress.

The battledess has British 21st Army Group formation patches. + Royal Signals Shoulder Titles and Royal Corps of Signals Divisional Insignia patches.

The Royal Signals Shoulder Titles are of post-war printed pattern so look to have been changed or added postwar.

Sleeves have Warrant Officer rank badges and service stripes on one of the sleeves

Battledress condition is very good with only small moth holes on the front.

With makers label for Hyde Park Clothes Limited of Montreal, Canada

Marked as size 7, for height 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 8 inches, breast 35-36 inches.

The sidecap is in excellent condition and bears a darkened brass Royal Signals badge.

Marked with the name Q M S Axe

The paybook is missing its name details but the father of the soldier is detailed as  George Axe, so it matches to the sidecap.

The collection of photos has a number of the owner in uniform including the battledress.  It also contains some rare private photos of VE celebrations in London.

The Paybook and photos were found in a pocket of the battledress, making this a fantastic set overall.
