A WW2 M1 US army helmet and liner set, dating from c.1942-43.
The shell is early war Schleuter with a front seam, fixed bails and sewn chinstraps. The shell chinstraps are unfortunately snapped. No heat stamp is visible, but judging by the circular seam pressing it appears to be a Schleuter.
The liner was made by Firestone, but is sadly not complete and features some staining, possibly blood. Size is large - approx 60.
